Integrated spatial and energy planning as a contribution to the local development concept Tulln
Abstract
The municipal level has essential tasks for the implementation of the energy system transformation. An important steering instrument is integrated spatial and energy planning, with which energy-efficient spatial and settlement structures are to be identified, maintained or newly created. Through the inclusion of integrated spatial and energy planning strategies into the local development concept, a contribution can be made to bringing spatially relevant decisions into line with climate and energy policy objectives and thus to creating the spatial prerequisites for energy system transformation at the municipal level.
