Assessment of different methods for monitoring fish migration at the Rothenfels fish-pass (Main)
Abstract
On behalf of the Bundesanstalt für Gewässerkunde, a study is carried out at the fish-pass Rothenfels (River Main), which assesses different methods for monitoring the fish migration. The surveys will be carried out over a period of 10 months using different fish migration assessment methods. The Institute of Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecosystem Management participates in assessing migration patterns via eDNA samples. The data will be compared with those of other methods and will contribute to the development of a methodological standard for the biological function control of fish migration systems on federal waterways.
