Iso-Potential: Modernising and extending the infrastructure of the stable isotope lab in Tulln
Abstract
The project "Iso-Potential" enables the modernisation and peripheral renewal of the isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS) instrumentation of the stable isotope laboratory at the University and Research location in Tulln (UFT). The old equipment to be replaced (GC-IRMS Delta S) has reached the end of its lifespan and no longer corresponds to the state of the art. The project enables the acquisition of a modern and advanced device (GC-GasBench-IRMS). Thus, not only an old device is replaced but also the possibility created by a peripheral extension to establish methodically additional research topics (climate relevant gases, water quality).
