Integration of Sustainable Rain Water Management-Tools in the Planning, Implementation and Management-Software (BIM)
Abstract
This exploratory project aims to develop, review and refine the internal processes of the web application and the database referring to green-blue infrastructure and solutions for rain water management and sustainable urban drainage systems, both in the urban building stock and for new buildings. In order to ensure the greatest possible dissemination and best possible integration in all phases of a project, from concept to planning, construction to operation and possible renovations, compatibility with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) is essential. This enables a wide range of stakeholders and trades to access data, to edit it together and to react quickly and without loss of information in the event of changes to the plan. The necessary interfaces, standards (e.g. through data processing in the IFC standard) and parameters will be developed in the project. A proof of concept on the real object guarantees the consistency of the data and parameters. Stakeholder discussions and dissemination create a presence in the (professional) public. This holistic approach of a simple, user-group-optimized web application, supplemented by maximum compatibility with BIM, covers the needs of almost all potential stakeholders in the best possible way and guarantees broad applicability.
