Park-Working-Spaces
Abstract
The aim of the project is the development of energy-self-sufficient, app-controlled open space workplaces in public Viennese parks (Vienna Park Working Spaces) to increase urban resilience in the face of climate change and other crisis situations. With the involvement of the responsible municipal departments and relevant stakeholders, two test beds are set up, scientifically evaluated and optimized in a revision loop to create an outdoor work infrastructure. As part of the project, future expansion stages for the implementation of a Vienna-wide park working network are being worked out, as a permanent shared co-working use offer for the city and as an alternative PV energy source. Therefore, the consortium works in close cooperation with the concerned municipal departments of the City of Vienna. The concept of the Park-Working-Spaces network is designed in a way that it can subsequently be transferred to other Austrian and European cities.
