Within work package 4, being one part of the larger Waldfonds-project FORSEE, the following issues will be addressed:
1) Studies on effects of seed tree manipulation on predation preferences of granivores and herbivores.
2) Literature search and analysis of important potential seed predators and germinant feeders (including historic sources).
3) Analyses of small scale habitat factors driving the probability of presence fof small mammals in forest ecosystems.
