Quality assurance of cross-property greening for urban climate resilience in the "Am Kempelenpark" neighbourhood
Abstract
The lieBeKlima project aims to initiate the implementation of a cross-property greening concept for the "Am Kempelenpark" neighbourhood. In the process, measurable quality goals are defined with the developers on the topics of greening, water management and plus energy, and the necessary infrastructure is divided among the properties. This should result in the greatest possible cost-benefit optimisation for the developers and users. It is important that the boundaries between the properties are "not noticeable". The close interrelationships between the green infrastructure, the rain- and greywater management and the local energy concept are worked out and cast into requirements for the planning. A quality assurance process for planning, construction and operation is to ensure that the jointly set goals are being realized. The necessary monitoring is defined for this process. This kind of participatory coordination between the developers even before the actual planning begins is breaking new ground in integral planning These topics are usually planned separately from each other; interaction between the building site, the neighboring property and the superordinate area takes place - if at all - only through supply lines. The results of the quality assurance process for planning, construction and operation can serve the new specifications of the housing fund as a wealth of experience for further processes, as there is still no experience in this area. lieBeKLima is intended to show that a climate-resilient city with economically justifiable costs is possible by generating early, partnership-based coordination.
