Abstract
The goal of the project is the development of energy-autonomous, app-controlled outdoor workspaces in public Viennese parks (Vienna Park-Working-Spaces), to increase urban resilience in climate change and other crisis situations. With the involvement of the responsible municipal departments and relevant stakeholders, two testbeds (demos) will be built, scientifically accompanied and optimized in a revision loop to an appropriate outdoor working infrastructure. As part of the project, future expansion stages for the implementation of a Vienna-wide park-working network will be elaborated, as a permanent shared co-working offer of the city as well as an alternative PV energy source. Therefore, the consortium works in close cooperation with the concerned municipal departments of the City of Vienna. The concept of the Park-Working-Spaces network will be designed in such a way that it can subsequently be transferred to other Austrian and European cities.
