Abstract

The aim of the project is to estimate the amount of water that can be pumped from the well fields of Nussdorf and Donauinsel in dependence of the hydrogeological framework conditions during the course of the year. For this purpose, a coherent three-dimensional numerical groundwater model of the two well fields will be created. The maximum withdrawal rate is estimated for
scenarios of the operation. The result of the modelling is to be used by the
management as a planning basis for optimising the operation of the well fields.
