- Abstract
- The aim of the project is to maximize the material product cycle of wood in multistorey construction for carbon sink purposes. Hybrid wood construction elements will be resused or recycled in multiple life cycles for being used as secondary raw materials. Priority is the multiple cascadic use of wood. The project aims at the following specific aims:
1. Detailed development of reuse and recycling concepts
2. Ecological ex-ante quantification of environmental effects
3. Determination of the level of expected reuse in various steps of use
4. Study of simple detachable connections
5. Conceptual development and test of recycling of wooden hybrid construction elements
6. Study of the impact of relevant policy fields on the use of wood in multistorey construction
7. Analysis of attitudes and the role of actors in the field of wood in construction
8. Formulation of measures for the support of innovations in the wood construction sector
