- Abstract
- The projekt UrbanHeatEquality examines political processes that aim at promoting nature-based solutions (NbS) to urban heat islands in Vienna. NbS run the risk of increasing social inequalities, which can have adverse effects on the resilience of the city of Vienna and marginalized groups (e.g. people with migration background). Based on an analysis of outputs (policies, concrete projects) and outcomes (impacts on social equality and resilience), the project assesses the integration and participation of as well as consequences for marginalized groups.
