Food quality of two oak species, Quercus petraea and Q. cerris, on performance of gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar.
Abstract
The influence of food quality of the both oak species Quercus petraea and Q. cerris on gypsy moth larval performance and adult fecundity is studied by using leaf powder diets. The goal of the study is to find the important nutrient components which affect the different growth, developmental time, and reproduction of this insect feeding on both oak leaf diets.
