Successive release of the predaceous mites Phytoseiulus persimilis and Neoseiulus californicus for spider mite control in greenhouse crops - evaluating a novel release strategy
Abstract
The objective is to optimize the combined release of the predaceous mites Phytoseiulus persimilis and Neoseiulus californicus. Specifi topics are (1) alternative food (2) competition avoidance and predation avoidance (3) dispersion pattern on sindle plants (4) dispersion pattern in the crop and (5) effect of (1) through (4) on the success in spider mite control.
