Abstract: CO2 emissions of Klosterneuburg (town near Vienna, Austria) were calculated in detail. Possibilities for the reduction of CO2 emissions by replacing fossil fuels by renewable energies were analysed and quantified. Necessity and possibilities for building of a biomass short-distance-heating plant were analysed, as well.
