Climate reconstruction for the eastern part of Austria using tree rings.
Abstract
Tree rings are used to reconstruct the climatic variability over the past 500 years. Several tree species growing in the eastern part of Austria are intensively investigated. In addition, cores are taken from old buildings and constructions to extend the chronologies.
