Abstract
EcoCentres are different sites that combine applied environmental R D with sustainable technology demonstration, visitors and training centres, dissemination and local development roles.
EcoLink aims to assess what research is needed to enable EcoCentres to better fulfil the roles expected of them by public authorities and stakeholders.
This will be achievedthrough inventories, case studies, and four thematic workshops, bringing together researchers, stakeholders, EcoCentre operators and decision makers, addressing research needs relevant to EcoCentres'role in (a) environmental R D implementation (b) nature conservation (c) local sustainable development (d) EU environment policy implementation.
