Abstract
The detailed data of damages having been collected from state authorities, communities and various relevant other groups of the society as well as own data (collection of the national documentation of the floods from August 2002) are partially already available and have to be checked for plausibillity, completeness and consistency. This is done be verifying the data according to local informations and if necessary by including affected people. After checking the data these are implemented in a databank, which allows a selection after defind criteria (local authorities, type of damage and ownership. The implementation in a geographical information system (GIS) will give the chance to visualise data and dissaggregation and geographical localisation of data is possible. The intended system (data bank + GIS) leads to a problem oriented analysis and visualisation of the collected informations (e.g. aggregation according to various questions).
