Langfristiger Proteinumsatz bei 15N-markierten Ratten
Abstract
The present project represents a model study with adult rats on the long-term dynamics of protein exchange within whole body and single tissues. Special attention is paid on the effect of a long-term dietary protein excess or an excess of branched chain amino acids on the total content of whole body protein, on the distribution of body protein among tissue fractions and on the kinetics of protein exchange within single tissues (half life time, mobile/immobile compartments). This study involves a new 15N labeling technique.
