Abstract
The aim of the project ist the interpretation of data obtained from the project "Data set of deer-related road traffic accidents in Burgenland/Austria". A spatiotemporal analysis of game-vehicle accidents (police data 2002-2004) is carried out to lead to specific accident hot-spots and main accident timeframes. A GIS based map of game-vehicle-accidents on all traffic routes in Burgenland (classes: 0-2; 3-5; 6-10; < 10 game-vehicle-accidents/year/kilometer) enables road planners and the hunting association to concentrate prevention methods and reduce game-vehicle accidents.
