Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the current Se content in Austrian meat, its variation depending on geographical origin and on traits of livestock production. For this purpose about 500 representative samples of meat from bovines, pigs and poultry are collected from Austrian slaughter houses and analyzed for their Se contents.
