Effects of hydropeaking on fish stocks in the Rivers Drau and Möll (Carinthia)
Abstract
The project deals with the investigation of effects on fish stocks caused by hydropeaking. The main river to be investigated is River Obere Drau in Carinthia. The interaction of hydropeaking and subsequent downsurge phenomena will be studied in context with growth and steps of development of juvenile grayling. The knowledge about cause-effect chains of hydropeaking and fish respectively are an inevitable must for further measures that can be / must be taken to enable vital fish stocks.
