Fish ecological monitoring and analysis of variants of downstream migration pathways in the context of planning a fishpass at the weir Rottau, Möll River
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the migration behaviour of Grayling (Thymallus thymallus) and Burbot (Lota lota) at the Möll River with focus on the area of the reservoir Rottau. Background of the investigation is the planning of a fish pass at the weir Rottau, whereby the findings of the fish ecological investigations will be integrated into the planning process of the fish pass. Fish migration is investigated by means of radio telemetry over the period of one year. Special focus will be set on downstream movements after the spawning periods of the particular species.
