Development of natural fiber composite panels with integrated fixing elements for flooring of utility vehicles
Abstract
Aim of this project is the development of new floor plates made of natural fiber composites (e.g. straw, hemp, flax, …) for vans, which shall substitute the wooden plates used until now. These plates act as protection for car body and for fixing the freight and possible constructional systems. According to worldwide ecological and economical development the project is focused on the use of renewable raw materials, which implicate saving in weight and reduction of environmental critical materials at the production of the plates.
