- Abstract
- The project is dealing with the regional economy potential of the newly developed tourism niche of experience oriented energy tourism, in special concerning the best practice product called “energy-camp”.
Main goal of the project is the implementation of an “Energy-Camp” lead by the motto that “the energy needed in the camp, is going to be produced by ourselves”. Renewable energy is one of the future major themes and this project is intending to address in special youth persons to to sensibilize and to raise awareness and in general to get in contact with this theme in an experience oriented way.
Major tasks from the University of BOKU are to develop and partially implement the Energy-Camp in the test region. The scientific goal is the conceptual development of specific pedagogic background material, the development realization and evaluation of new and innovative marketing methods (Web 2.0) as well as to monitor these developments.
