Major aim of the project is the implementation of a new tourism niche based on new experience-oriented energy tourism product. Within the evaluation possible impacts on regional economy are considered as well as the acceptance by the tourists.
The university of Natural REsources and Life Sciences accompanies the region "Pielachtal - Ökonenergieregion" through the conceptional and implementation phase. Specific pedagogic strategies according to topical energy and sustainability related issues are adapted to the region's needs and potential. New and innovative marketing strategies are tested, monitored and evaluated.
