- Abstract
- After a crash of a small aircraft at Hoher Lindkogel (Baden, Lower Austria) in 2008 a removal of the top soil became necessary to avoid further contamination of the soil and the groundwater by kerosene and oil. Soil removal has a great influence on the buffer, filter and storage function of the soil, the seedbed conditions for plants as well as on the abiotic conditions controlling microbial decomposition. The aim of the study is to describe the progress of succession at the site.
