- Abstract
- The aim of the interdisciplinary research project GreenUrbanClimate is to improve existing construction methods of green roofs and facades as well as permeable surfaces used in road-building, based on research in the fields of
landscaping, spatial planning, meteorology and economy.
The module spatial planning includes modelling of a representative urban district, investigating greening potentials of urban landscapes, contribution to simulation of the impacts of construction elements on urban climate (with regard to climate change), developing planning measures to achieve goals derived in other project modules, exploring the implementation of those measures into spatial planning instruments, developing recommendations for regional and local planning authorities and preparing information material according to these recommendations.
