Abstract
The aim of the project is to improve the production of haploid wheat plants using novel technologies. In addition, microspore cultures of triticale will be explored. In a collaborative effort between Saatzucht Donau and BOKU the method will be technically improved and utilized in the breeding programmes of SZD. In addition, we will address the question if double haploid technology per se causes a selection for relevant traits.
