open space - climate: Experiencing and measuring climate change
Abstract
FreiRaumKlimaTalente puts its focus on the future of the city and region of Mureck in southern Styria under the light of a changing climate, a topic that will especially affect the future daily life of today’s children and young people. The appearance and use of open spaces in and around the city, mobility and energy efficiency and their influence on the micro- and mesoclimate and consequently global climate will be the main topics to be researched by pupils under the guidance of teachers, researchers and entrepreneurs. The people will act as researchers and local experts who will apply a mix of methods from natural and technical sciences as well as humanities to comply with the complexity and interdisciplinary of the topic.
