Colonization of the MarchfeldChannel through the fishfauna, 20 years after flooding
Abstract
The now planned fish population survey, 20 years after flooding, should provide information about how the fish population and species composition have evolved in the last ten years. Among other things, the question arises to what extent the decline in stocks of nase (Chondrostoma nasus) in the Danube is reflected in the Marchfeldkanal. From an economic perspective mainly the development of the overall fish stocks and the distribution of fish density and biomass of individual fish species are relevant.
