Abstract:
The special issue on Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) provides a representative snapshot of the state of the art in the 2020-2021 time-frame and highlights future research directions. The scope of the special issue is intentionally broad, ranging from technical contributions to human-centered studies, from surveys to philosophical perspectives. A total of 97 papers were submitted for the special issue, of which 27 were finally accepted for publication after thorough peer review. (C)& nbsp;2022 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
