Abstract:: Two QTL from spring wheat were back-crossed into several European winter wheat lines. Although the level of FHB severity depended to a large extent on the genetic background of the recurrent parent, marker assisted selection proofed efficient in increasing the level of FHB resistance of winter wheat breeding lines.
