Global Economic Crisis and Sustainable Development
Abstract
The global economic crisis of 2008 is envisioned as an isolated economic accident which inevitably follows a secular pattern of capitalist development. The long-term consequences are mainly conceived as future budetary burdens. This research project attempts to point out that the causes of this crisis results from a blatant neglect of elsewhere stressed motives towards sustainable development and presumably is the biggest set-back for sustainable development since decades.
