Abstract
In an experimental study with 60 fattening pigs (35-115kg), protein reduced diets formulated on net energy (NE) will be compared to a control diet, high in protein content. Two of the protein reduced diets will contain high amounts of the industrial by product wheat middlings to reduce the strong competition of fattening pigs for food to the humans. Fattening and carcass performance will be evaluated.
