DrainGarden - Eine ökologische und ökonomische Technologie zur dezentralen Regenwasserbewirtschaftung

Abstract
"DrainGarden" are known as ecological and economical alternative to traditional adaptation of channel systems (replacement of pipes ,construction of reservoirs , etc. ). Drain gardens are green strip along traffic areas that have specific technical and functional characteristics. They fall within the scope of the green infrastructure and in addition to their primary target of water retention, other numerous functions such as improving the microclimate, habitat function and aesthetics are to be targeted. The sum of those effects are called " ecosystem services ". Drain gardens differ from conventional " Sickermulden " through their secure and much higher water retention capacity, plant selection and applicability even in "unusual" areas.
