Women Exchange for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)

The BOKU is currently working on the development and launch of a women’s network in disaster risk reduction in Austria. The aim of this network of female experts is not only to discuss issues on gender and natural hazards but also to increase the visibility and strengthen female professionals by enabling the transnational exchange of knowledge and experiences. The network will be coordinated by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management and should cater women working in research, policy and practice.
