Long-Term Ecosystem Research Infrastructure for Carbon, Water and Nitrogen
Abstract
LTER-CWN proposes an infrastructure for environmental research of the consequences of climate extreme events (heat waves, storms, etc.) for carbon, water, and nitrogen in ecosystem. We will build a distributed network of infrastructure, which is based on existing core sites of Long Term Ecological Research Austria, covering the major ecosystem types across Austria, together with a high-end mobile device to measure greenhouse gas flux from soil.
