Catabolism of a fiber production side stream
Abstract
Catabolism of a fiber production side stream Fiber production from wood yields a variety of side carbon containing streams, which potentially are environmentally polluting. At the same time their organic carbon content is a valuable resource which should be used sensibly. This project identifies catabolic routes to use such unconventional carbon sources and seeks to make them available for metabolic engineering approaches.
