Cool urban living spaces for a resilient society
Abstract
The project cool-INN aims to evaluate a suitable location for the implementation of blue infrastructure for Innsbruck, to plan and accompany the pilot phase and to survey the effects of the new open space design on urban ecology and the residential and commercial area. The integrative cooperation of the water supply and wastewater management company IKB with scientific partners, the city of Innsbruck and the citizens should lead to a sustainable and holistic concept and its implementation. The documentation and evaluation will help to build up knowledge about urban cooling and will be available to other municipalities after the project ends.
