Forsite II Ecologica Site Classification for the Provinces Upper and Lower Austria and Burgenland: Site Hydrology
Abstract
Within the project 'Development of the ecological basis for a dynamic forest site classification in Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Burgenland' site surveys are carried out for subregions of the project area, hydropedological parameters are derived together with the project partner BFW Innsbruck and the water balance of generic stands is modeled for different climate scenarios. The validation of the model results is carried out together with the working group wood technology on the basis of dendroecological data and stand and soil hydrological measurements at monitoring plots. Furthermore, expertise is contributed to the regionalization of soil chemical parameters and the development of the site model and management recommendations.
