eLTER Rosalia Lehrforst: LTER-CWN Joint Data Paper and Optimization of Workflows:
Abstract
Two main objectives are to be accomplished in the frame of the ROSADATAFLOW Project: - Contribute to a joint data paper of the research infrastructure LTER-CWN - Optimize own workflows regarding data transfer and data evaluation processes The first task will contribute to a joint data paper of the research infrastructure LTER-CWN (https://www.lter-austria.at/cwn) focusing on the impacts of extreme climate events on Carbon, Nitrogen, and Water fluxes. Six sites are members of the existing Long-Term Ecological Research Network of Austria (LTER) and candidates for the European eLTER RI. These sites are, along with Rosalia, Zöbelboden, Klausen-Leopoldsdorf, Pürgschachener Moor, Lake Neusiedl and Stubai Valley. We will generate cross-site data sets of harmonized meteorological variables, soil temperature and water content, gaseous carbon efflux using autochambers, soil CO2 probes, and eddy flux measurements between the years 2018 and 2021. The second task aims at optimizing internal procedures, to meet the future requirements of eLTER RI for data reporting. In this task, we are targeting the data from three meteorological stations, eddy covariance data and soil and vegetation monitoring data from the DRAIN station. We aim at increasing the automation degree of the data transfer process and to develop QA/QC routines. Templates for data and data reporting will be generated.
