Abstract
The "Arbeitswissenschaftliche Kolloquium" is organized every two years by the technical committee VDI MEG Arbeitswissenschaften im Landbau in cooperation with research institutes, universities and similar institutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Taking into account the different agricultural structures in the D-A-CH region, the focus is on the occupational science topics of the host country. The core focus is on the design of work processes, effective, efficient, health-preserving and accident-proof (people-friendly), up-to-date, especially using the advantages of digitalization. In the expert committee as well as with the colloquium, the cooperation of personalities and institutions in the field of agricultural work science, economics and technology as well as adjacent fields is promoted. The Technical Committee "Agricultural Labor Science" (FAAW) is an organ of the Max-Eyth-Gesellschaft Agrartechnik (VDI-MEG). To recognize special achievements in the field of work science and to promote young scientists, the Technical Committee awards the Ludwig Wilhelm Ries Prize at each colloquium.
