Infrared spectroscopy for Starch & Sugar Process Analytics
- Landwirtschaftliche Produktion und Lebensmittel
Abstract
This project aims to develop IR-based methods for mycotoxin screening and quality control in sugar and starch plant product streams, primarily focusing on the latter. Targeted mycotoxins are zearalenone, HT-2, and T2 in maize, with potential expansion to wheat and corn gluten meal. Preliminary studies will explore IR spectroscopy for tracking starch saccharification and soluble carbohydrate content in sugar beet raw juice.
