Physical models in remote sensing image understanding.
Abstract
Knowledge based image analysis methods are applied to the interpretation of remotely sensed images within the national research programme 'Theory and Applications of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition'. Physical models of the acquisition of satellite images are being formulated, accentuating radiometric aspects. Analysis methods based on the inversion of these models are developed. Image segmentation using subpixel analysis is employed.
