DOMODIS - Documentation of mountain disasters.

This project was initiated by the International Association of Geomorphologists under the title of a ICSU/IDNDR study. The main objective is the real time and just-post documentation of geomorphological processes (e.g. debris flows). For this purpose organizational and scientific processing instructions and guidlines should be developed. Together with the Ministry of Agriculture and the FBVA the Institute of Torrent and Avalanche Control has designed and submitted an organization scheme for the documentation of geomorphological processes in Austria. The regional concepts will be discussed among all participants (Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, China, New Zealand, Canada Rumania and Austria) at special meetings.
