Abstract
For the memorial 'Mauthausen' the abandoned quarry was overstrained with a threedimensional steel rope construction. It carries the sound - signal system and a diaphragm roof made of steel. The geological investigations were: the choice of the best anchors position, the selection for the best foundation place for the nodal force distraction, the description of the rock drilling, the documentation of the engineering geological datas.
