Ecological sound and economically viable plant production
Abstract
There is a good chance to establish a highly productive and competitive agriculture in the Ukraine. An essential condition for this process will be the sufficient potential of executive personnel, that is able to cope with international know-how and to combine it with the existing Ukrainian knowledge. However, this objective cannot be reached without a radical reform of the educational structures and curricula of the Ukrainian agricultural universities. Establishing a new 2-year postgraduate course "Ecological and economic plant production" that follows the first degree course at the Agricultural University of Poltawa would mean a support for the modernisation and internationalisation of the agricultural university education in the Ukraine by the planned project.
