Abstract
In a feeding trial the use of 0 (FG1), 2 (FG2) und 4 % blood meal (FG3) in broiler diets was investigated. The protein content in the diets was 20,5 % and the metabolic energy content 12.6 MJ/kg. The feeding period was 36 days. At the end of the growing period the animals of FG1, 2 and 3 were 1787, 1745 and 1574 g and the feed conversion rate was 1.91, 2.00 and 2.29 kg/kg LW gain. The results of this experiment shows that blood meal may be not digested in the intestinal tract of chicken.
