Use of mixed feed vs. corn silage and protein concentrate in turkey feeding
Abstract
In a feeding trial with 10 week old turkeys the use of mixed feed vs. corn silage and protein concentrate was used. The female turkeys were slaughtered with an age of 16 weeks and the male with an age fo 20 weeks. The LW gain was higher with mixed feed than with combined feed. The feed conversion rate showed no significant differences between the groups. The body composition of roasted carcass and the organoleptic traits were not influenced by the kind of feeding.
