Abstract
In these screening experiments, the utilisation of prebiotic carbohydrates (oligo-, polysaccharides) by a selection of strains of Lactobacillus reuteri was investigated. This study was undertaken to determine possible synbiotic combinations for further application in functional feeds and foods.
